QLD: Missing ultra light mystery
BRISBANE, Feb 15 AAP - Mystery surrounded the disappearance of an ultra-light aircraft
and its female pilot in south east Queensland, police said today.
Police said Debra Smallwood, 41, had left Caboolture airport in the aircraft at midday Monday.
"An air search was conducted for the ultra-light yesterday," a police spokeswoman said.
Authorities said Ms Smallwood's destination was unknown and she had not contacted her family.
The aircraft was a red coloured high-wing ultra-light.
Ms Smallwood is 166cm with red hair, green eyes, slim build and a fair complexion.
The Search and Rescue Coordination Centre in Canberra said the air search had been
suspended and police today appealed to the public to help locate Ms Smallwood.
