DIALA / Aswat al-Iraq: All Sahwa (Awakening) fighters will abandon their positions at checkpoints throughout Diala if their security credentials will be cancelled, said the province's Sahwa commander.

"We have 9,837 fighters deployed throughout Diala, and they will abandon their positions at checkpoints in the province if security commands insisted on cancelling the fighters' credentials," Sahwa Commander Khlaid al-Lehaibi told Aswat al-Iraq news agency on Saturday.
