POESTENKILL MAN ACCUSED OF CRUELTY TO DOG, PUPS.(Local)

State police arrested a village resident Saturday and led him from his Round Top Road home in handcuffs, charged with cruelty to animals.

Robert W. Styczynski, 29, was taken by Trooper Frederick Ashworth to the State Police barracks in Sand Lake about 10:30 a.m. He was issued a ticket to appear Jan. 9 in Poestenkill Town Court.

Styczynski was charged with six counts of failure to feed a confined animal - a female German shepherd and her five puppies. If convicted of the misdemeanor violation of state Agriculture and Markets Law, Styczynski could face up to a $1,000 fine or a year in jail or both, said State Police …
